The Black Hats Society is excited to announce our record-breaking fundraising totals for 2024.
We donated $16,421 and had over 3000 volunteer hours.

The PourHouse received $12,000, clothing donations, and our members assisted with move-ins. This total includes merchandise sales, events, a matching grant of $5000 from the Samerian Foundation, and a $1000 grant from the Ken and Sabrina Martin Charitable Fund. The work the PourHouse does is inspiring. Through outreach and advocacy, they assist people experiencing homelessness. They change and save lives every day.

We began our cookbook project for IYG in 2023 and completed it in 2024. Our donation to IYG from the cookbooks and proceeds from Irvington Pride totals $4000. IYG serves thousands of LGBTQ+ youths across Indiana, providing basic needs, mental healthcare, and housing.
The Black Hats Society of Irvington did a small fundraiser for FIDO, a local nonprofit that assists outside dogs in need. They received $321 in donations. We also donated $100 to the Irvington Historical Society, a local nonprofit that preserves Irvington’s history.

The drive, dedication, and creativity of our members are the backbone of our organization and fundraising. Our members gave over 3000 volunteer hours, not including their individual time spent on costuming. This does not include all the time the members of our council give. They dedicate many hours to the organization.
We look forward to continuing our work in 2025!
